In May, we welcomed Peri, her parents Brian and Amy, her sister Ella and their 200 guests, all celebrating Peri’s bat mitzvah.
According to Peri’s dad, Brian, picking the Westminster Hotel was the first party-planning task their family undertook: “[The Westminster Hotel is] very close to home and Temple in Randolph, with the perfect amount of space for the cocktail hour and party, a big party room that opened up first for kids and then for everyone, a beautiful atrium/skylight set up of cocktail hour room, and the fact that everything for the party was confined to one defined area of the hotel was ideal. The food is amazing, and the entire staff was outstanding, friendly, and helpful.”
Peri’s requests for her bat mitzvah were a “big dance floor, constant dancing and activity, non-stop music, no one sitting, turquoise coloring of room and lights, and FUN!”
Peri also created her bat-mitzvah logo on her own. The logo appeared around the party, behind the DJs, on pillows, and on the flannel pajama pants and basketball shorts she gave out as party favors.
We loved the turquoise and black coloring as the party’s color scheme, and the simple and classy centerpieces for the adult tables, full kids’ area with cubbies, and comfortable couches and pillows.
Also designed for Peri’s bat mitzvah celebration: high hat tables, a special lit-up centerpiece, a separate kids’ food buffet area, a photo area for everyone, multiple flat screen TVs, a big dance floor, and fun/unique lighting from the DJs.
Brian says “the cocktail hour in general and the sushi bar specifically were huge crowd-pleasers. All of the food was great.”
For dessert, they had ice cream sundaes for everyone and a huge candy display for kids and adults as they walked out of the party.
We’ll bring you more details from Peri’s bat mitzvah in our next post. Her photos were so fantastic, we need two posts to bring them all to you! Thanks to Brad Photographers & Video: 973-696-8763 for sharing these images with us!
